Default Armor crafters

I just got into post-searing and i'm looking for a new set of armor.

In pre-searing, it was quite straightforward, but now...

Since there are so many crafters in post-searing, i'm wondering if i should wait a while and get more raw materials to get a better set of armor.

By the way, my character is an Elem/Nec specialized in fire magic (not very original).

Thanks!

personally, i kept my begin armor until i got to beacon's perch. had someone run me to droknar's then bought my end-game armor.

i guess the first place i'd probably upgrade is in yak's bend.

Thanks for the info! I'll keep that in mind.

One other thing. Since i specialize in fire magic, should i go for the Pyromancer gear or just the regular elem gear ?

Well, even the one you can have at 150gp in Ascalon is quite good. In fact, its basicly the same you will find at Tak's Bend.

get the level 10 pyromancer gear which will take you to Lions Arch quality

that bit extra does make a difference as i am a pyro elemonk (no imagination period but my wamo was a sucking disaster)

What do you mean by Level 10 ? I hope it's not the armor level.

Where should i find the crafter of this particular set of armor ?

The most efficient path is starter armor -> basic, level 10 armor in Ascalon City (the 30/40+30/50+20 AL stuff) -> Droknar's Runner in Beacon's Perch -> top armor.

The price you'll pay for the taxi to Droknar's Forge is less than what you'd pay for the mid-level armor upgrade in Ventari's Refuge. It's both cash efficient and gives you the good stuff earlier - what a deal! Only reason not to is if you want to play 'pure', or don't have the money yet.

Peace,
-CxE

Thanks for the info Ensign!
I usually play "pure". But, after reading your previous post, it might change when i get to Beacon's Perch.
